Are you struggling with a depressed mood?  Have you lost your zest for life?  Maybe you've gained weight or are struggling in the bedroom?  It could be a result of low testosterone levels, or Low T.  Testosterone is a naturally occurring hormone that's produced in the body.  The production is highest during puberty and gradually decreases over time.  Low T can affect multiple aspects of your life.  Many men accept these changes as a normal part of aging, but replacing your testosterone can give you your vitality back.

What are some common symptoms associated with low testosterone?

  • Fatigue
  • Depressed mood
  • Decreased vigor and libido
  • Decreased muscle mass even when working out
  • Hair loss and changes to hair patterns
  • Mood fluctuations
  • Decreased stamina
  • Bone loss
  • Erectile dysfunction

How do I know if I have low testosterone?

A simple blood test and questions about your symptoms can give us the information we need to start treatment for your Low T.

Can my doctor treat me?

Often primary care providers are hesitant to diagnose and treat, but at Renew our providers are well versed in safe and proper treatment.  We see lots of patients who are treated for mental health issues, or they are told that this is part of normal aging.

Do I have to give myself a shot?

Often the injectable forms of testosterone are preferred by patients for treatment.  However, there are other forms such as gels and pellets.  Our experts will work with you to find the regimen that is best for you and your lifestyle.

What are the risks of treating low testosterone?

Men who are undergoing testosterone replacement therapy should have their blood monitored regularly.  Initially, we check to ensure your dose is correct, and we check your blood levels for hematocrit (or blood thickness) and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels.  We recommend a prostate cancer check every 6 months.

Where do I start?

A complete health history and blood test will help determine if Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is right for you.  Schedule a consultation now, and start living your life again!
